The Park

Point Reyes National Seashore sits just an hour's drive from San Francisco. Yet next to this major metropolis, one can find themselves alone for hours on end in this majestic place. The park is over 71,000 acres and ranges in elevation from sea level to over 1,400ft in the forested hills of Inverness Ridge.

The Park is known for its sweeping landscapes and plant and animal diversity. 80 miles of coastline provide dramatic opportunities for landscape enthusiasts, while wildlife lovers can hope to see some of the 85 mammals that inhabit the park. Over 50% of North America's bird species have been documented here as well.

So pack your bags, grab your camera and visit one of the most spectacular parks in our nation.
